No website about the history of three-wheelers would be complete without mention of the modern trike. Just as the very first trikes started out in pioneer times, modern trikes are manufactured by enthusiasts as one-offs, mixing and matching engines and components. There’s always a good display of them at the Ace Cafe’s London-Brighton Reunion Run.
In 2007 the VMCC participated, so I took some bikes down to put on their stand.
It’s always a superb event, with an incredible atmosphere along Brighton seafront. Here’s a pic of a trike at the 2006 run:
